Juan Martinez is a very driven person who truly cares about player development with a proven track record.
“I have a passion for helping players shine and reach their goals. Soccer saved my life and today I’m blessed to be doing something I truly love”.
Juan Martinez began coaching in 2005 in his backyard. Juan was ambitious looking to provide the very best player environment for his daughter Jordan Martinez where she can develop as a player and person. He wanted to make a difference in the lives of youth in the same way his adopted 7th grade pre-algebra teacher made on his life. He had the passion to compete versus the very best clubs in NTX. Martinez knew the power soccer had to shape one’s life for the better.
Coach Martinez decided to dedicate his life to building well rounded soccer players. Soccer became his ministry to make a difference in the lives of youth. Today, his impact is noticeable. Some of the players that came out of Kicks & DKSC have represented USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico on the national stage, while several are representing universities such as UNC, UCLA , Baylor, TCU, West Virginia, Texas Tech, University of Tulsa, University of Minnesota and any more. So many players have received full scholarships bc of his commitment to developing well rounded soccer players.
What began as one recreation team practicing in his backyard, has transformed into a soccer club with 120+ teams playing in the most competitive leagues youth soccer has to offer. In that time, Juan Martinez has developed a comprehensive college, professional and international network. He has learned the ins and outs of preparing athletes for the next level. Recognized by the North Texas Soccer Association as the Girls Competitive Coach of the Year for two consecutive years, Coach Martinez has established a reputation of excellence for both himself and his players.
Motivated by this passion to share that knowledge with more athletes, Martinez was inspired to start Juan Martinez Soccer (JMS). Players will hone not only their soccer skills but learn what it means to be a true athlete. If you want to become the best athlete and leader you can be, then JMS is for you!
